Episode #11 Recorded 9/11/11

The Burningman Episode! It was the full crew again this time, with Delia Shargel, Jessica Garfield-Kabbara, and Chad Harris joining host Matthew Stelzner for a discussion of the Burningman festival and our experiences on the playa. Below you can find a show breakdown, with the exact times listed of when we begin certain discussions, so that you can go directly to whatever part of the show you are most interested in.  Below you can also find most of the charts that we discuss, and links to any outside resources that we refer to.

In this episode we discuss what it was like giving astrology readings to festival participants, and delve into a broader discussion of what factors are needed for the most powerful astrology readings to occur, and what it's like when the "magic" happens. Chad compares Burningman to the Eleusinian Mysteries; we discuss the chart of the founder of Burningman, Larry Harvey, and also look at the chart for the first burn in 1986.  Matthew discusses his current personal transits and how they came through out in the desert. And we close with a brief look at a song by Johnny Cash and Dave Matthews called "For You."

You can also download the mp3 file directly to your computer by clicking on this highlighted text.  It will take you to the server that is hosting the sound-file.  There are different options for downloading the file, but on the left side of the page you will see a window that says "Listen to Audio," and in the lower half of that window it says "play/download."  Click on the blue link here that says "VBR ZIP"  This should download a compressed version of the mp3 file.  After it downloads it should open into an mp3 file that you can listen to with iTunes.  You can also download what is called an "Ogg" file, and this is a smaller file, but you will need compatible software.
